Color Challenge... (WSCC2)

Wow - I love challenges! It's just the inspiration I need to go do something... this week's color challenge is to use these three colors together: Stampin' Up!'s Handsome Hunter, Taken with Teal and Green Galore!

Well, I REALLY loathe Handsome Hunter (sorry to bring up some blog baggage - but it reminds me of my former father-in-law... ick!). And still I've purchased it at some point 'cuz I had a few sheets left from a package I must have bought at some point! Who knew?!

This is a technique I very rarely remember to use... but I love it more every time! This is embossing on white mulberry paper. And then watercoloring w/ an aquapainter! Seriously - it's THAT easy! Layer whisper white paper behind it and it really shows off the colors!

Details, details...
Stamp sets: Baroque Motifs and It's Your Birthday
Colors: Handsome Hunter, Taken with Teal, Green Galore and Whisper White
Other: Green apple grosgrain ribbon (retired), white mulberry paper, versamark, aquapainter and white embossing powder

Wow, Lori, that turned out awesome! I haven't heard of that technique before. I will have to give it a try some time. :0)

Wow, this is beautiful! Isn't that the technique you created?? I love your use of this color combo... and I'm sorry about the FIL memories conjured up by the Hunter... ; )
