Product of my dreams...

Does that sound weird? I awoke from a dream with this picture in my head. I walked directly to the stamp room before I lost the image... you know how that happens?
Simple card... easy technique...
I embossed with versamark and white embossing powder... then added Blue Bayou ink over the top of the embossing with a stamping sponge.

Color Challenge... (WSCC2)

Wow - I love challenges! It's just the inspiration I need to go do something... this week's color challenge is to use these three colors together: Stampin' Up!'s Handsome Hunter, Taken with Teal and Green Galore!

Well, I REALLY loathe Handsome Hunter (sorry to bring up some blog baggage - but it reminds me of my former father-in-law... ick!). And still I've purchased it at some point 'cuz I had a few sheets left from a package I must have bought at some point! Who knew?!

This is a technique I very rarely remember to use... but I love it more every time! This is embossing on white mulberry paper. And then watercoloring w/ an aquapainter! Seriously - it's THAT easy! Layer whisper white paper behind it and it really shows off the colors!

Other: Green apple grosgrain ribbon (retired), white mulberry paper, versamark, aquapainter and white embossing powder

When was the last time you used SU!'s Sage Shadow?!

I ran across a random blog yesterday while I was looking for a tutorial on something else (2-4-6-8 box)... and instead found this idea!!! So, I pretty much stole her idea based on the challenge she was participating in! LOVING Sage Shadow again... and I haven't used this color in about 2 years!

Color Challenge... (WSCC1)

This week's challenge was to pair any of SU!'s blue and orange card stock colors... so I went with a color combo I've never used before and a saying I try to live by (Live, Love, Laugh...)

What do you think? Does it work?

I got to play today!!!

Disclaimer: this is CASE'd big time! A friend of mine sent me an email showing off a new monogrammer ... and these colors... and I made my own version of it, without the new monogrammer. I've never put these colors together - but I found a new color combo I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. So, I made up a dozen of these cards for myself... you never know when you might receive one in the mail!

Playing with Pretty Petals

Until about a month ago, I never saw this background stamp. Yes, that's right. I mean, I saw it... I just didn't pay much attention to it. And my friend Lisa (you know who you are) bought it and uses it all the time now... and I had to borrow it. Thanks for letting me take it away from you for a few weeks! Do you want it back yet? If not, I'll keep playing!!!
