Color inspiration? Commercial on TV...

So, I was watching tv while putting together a new stamp set (this one) and had a moment of inspiration - while watching a commercial

For the life of me I can't remember what product or service they were trying to sell. But it was a scene in a bar where two people were attracted to each other - and they met in the middle of the floor and started dancing to the background music. The colors in the commercial were so warm and dramatic - I just had to make a card or two. I sent one off to a friend... and kept one for myself. Just LOVE these colors! Can't wait for Fall to roll around so I can use them more...

I have a confession...

I haven't been doing too many cards lately... I'm on a kick to scrapbook. Check it out...

I'm re-doing one of those horrendous sticky page scrapbooks from 10 years ago. It's a trip I took for work - to live and and work in Geneva, Switzerland. The trip of a lifetime! I was there for four months - so enjoyed most of the surrounding areas on the weekends... and in style!

What fun to relive these memories! So until I finish this... maybe this weekend... there won't be many more cards made. I'm about half way done. I'm on a roll... get outta my way.

a lil' bit of fan mail...

Fan Mail: a card I will make again!

I had a few gals place online orders and wanted to drop something in the mail to them... but I want more of these to send out in the future... so yes, I'll be making more of these if I can find some more pearls... or something else half old fashioned, half retro to put on the card as an embellishment. Hmm... what will I find?

In the meantime, it's time to clean up the stamp room! I've been scrapbooking like crazy... more pics to come re this later... and it's time to act like an adult, take some responsibility and do some cleaning. Grr...

KWerner's color inspiration #36

Above is the image of our color inspiration ... we're to use SU's Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Whisper White...

The above 3 images are from the first card I made... I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new Designer Series Paper I got my hands on... it will be available in the next Idea Book & Catalog (and available for purchase later this month)... it's called "Raspberry Tart". HA! Of course it's called Raspberry Tart! so adorable...

But for the second card, in the images below, I wanted to switch it up just a little. So I moved the eyelet and the ribbon inside the card instead. That's all I did... and I think I like card #2 better. What do YOU think?
